Wet Areas are area within a building supplied with water from a water supply system. This therefore includes: bathrooms, showers, laundries, toilets, kitchens, bar areas, kitchenettes or domestic food and beverage preparation areas.
Waterproofing of wet areas in buildings is important for health, amenity and peace of mind. The goal is to prevent water penetration that can result in: Dangerous and unhealthy circumstances for people; a loss of amenity; or Dampness and damage to building components.
Ensure surfaces are stable and reasonably flat and smooth. Fill in any holes or openings, Remove any other chemicals or stains in the wet area.
Apply the first coat of waterproof to the Floor and 10-15 cm wall using a brush and work in vertical strokes ensuring an even coverage. For wall near a shower cover the room from the floor to the ceiling. We can use Darma Prof, Darma Flex, Darma Flex Plus or Darma Cristal based on the application location.
Allow the waterproof to dry for at least 6 hours.
Apply a second coat of waterproof and work horizontally across the floor and walls, working from the bottom to the top.

Use silicon to seal around the drain and any other pipes that come into the room should also be sealed properly.
When the second coat has been applied and allowed to dry, you can then fill the wet area with water for 48 hours and see if there are any leakages. After that you can continue to the next stage of construction.
